TOURISM AMBASSADORS WANTED

Are you passionate about the Central Goldfields Shire?

 

Why not become a Central Goldfields Tourism Ambassador and sign up for an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

 

Council is inviting expressions of interest from interested, community-minded people to participate in our Central Goldfields Tourism Ambassador program.

 

This is your opportunity to support the development of events, arts, culture and tourism within the municipality and promote our community and visitor experiences.

 

As a Central Goldfields Tourism Ambassador, you will be involved with Council-hosted events and festivals and your role will include:

 

• Welcoming visitors to the shire

• Assisting with the evaluation of events and festivals

• Distributing visitor information

• Directing visitors to points of interest

• Conducting short visitor surveys

 

As a Central Goldfields Tourism Ambassador you need to be approachable, punctual and well-presented and available for two or three events per year.

 

You will also need to be available to attend occasional briefing and debriefing sessions as part of the pre-event planning and post-event evaluation.

 

In return for your time you will be provided with basic training and a uniform and during events a Council employee will be available to provide you with all the advice and support you need.
