The Goldfields Reservoir Track Boardwalk has now re-opened after being closed to pedestrians due to termite damage.
Located on a popular walking track, the boardwalk is now replaced with a two-way steel framed bridge.
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator, Noel Harvey, said Council is delighted to re-open the boardwalk.
“The boardwalk connects a very popular walking track around the Goldfields Reservoir. We are thrilled to re-open this boardwalk and allow community members to once again re-use the track,” he said.
“This is a great opportunity for residents to get active, to reconnect with the outdoors and to take in the picturesque scenes around the reservoir.”
The boardwalk had been closed since 7 March, 2018 for safety reasons.
