With less than a month until the 2017 RACV Energy Breakthrough event preparations have ramped up and the countdown is on.
The 2017 event will be staged in Maryborough at Prince Park from 23 to 26 November.
Held annually in the Central Goldfields Shire, the award winning event is the largest and most significant event on our local events calendar:
Central Goldfields Shire Interim Administrator Mark Davies said the significance of the RACV Energy Breakthrough could not be underestimated.
“The benefits of this major event are two-fold. Not only does it inspire students from across Australia to embrace learning and be creative and innovative but it also brings important tourism dollars to our community.”
“Accommodation is at capacity, our restaurants and cafes are busy and other local businesses enjoy the flow on effects that only an event of this size and calibre can bring.”
“We look forward to welcoming around 8,000 students as well as their families and friends to our community in November.”
The RACV Energy Breakthrough is a joint initiative of Central Goldfields Shire Council, Country Education Project and the RACV.
It is also made possible thanks to sponsorship from RACV, State Government, Vic Roads, La Trobe University, Central Highlands Water, True Foods, Cyient (global manufacturing company) and Country Education Partnership.
