The 2017-2018 Community Grants program was endorsed at an Ordinary Meeting of Council last night (27/03).
Community groups and organisations will have the opportunity to apply for funding with $20,000 to be distributed to successful applicants.
The Community Grants Program will open in April with all applications to be assessed against an assessment criteria which will then go back to Council for endorsement.
Funding to the value of $500 plus is available to a wide range of non-profit making community groups/organisations to assist them in their provision of facilities and services.
Central Goldfields Shire Chief Administrator Noel Harvey said all community groups, organisations and associations who require financial support for upcoming projects or events are encouraged to apply.
“The Community Grants Program provides the opportunity for not for profit local community groups to access funding to assist with the valuable work they provide to our community.”
Guidelines and applications will be available from the Central Goldfields Shire website www.centralgoldfields.com.au or hard copies from the Shire Office on Tuesday 2 April.
Applications close on Friday 11 May.
