Pet owners will begin to receive their animal registration notices in the mail this week and are reminded to ensure their animal’s registration payment is made by 10 April 2018.
Animal registration is required under the Domestic Animals Act 1994 and all dogs and cats over three months of age must be registered with Council and micro chipped.
Registering a dog or cat greatly improved the chances of it being returned if it became lost.
Owners receive discount registrations if they hold an eligible pension card.

Animal owners wishing to register their pet with Central Goldfields Shire for the first time will be required to visit the Shire Office with their microchip number.
