PUBLIC HOLIDAY CLOSURE
Central Goldfields Shire will be closed next Friday September 28 for the AFL Grand Final
public holiday. This includes the Shire Office, Maryborough Library, Goldfields Family
Centre and Depot/Pound.
The Central Goldfields Shire after hours service will operate as normal. Urgent after
hours issues that relate to Shire infrastructure can be reported.
2018-2019 RATE NOTICES
Central Goldfields Shire Council 2018/2019 rate notices have been distributed
following the adoption of the 2018-2019 Council Budget.
We have experienced some issues with the barcodes which means they may not scan
when paying in person at Australia Post. Australia Post have been manually entering barcodes with success so far to date.

Payments can also be made IN PERSON at our Customer Service Office, 22 Nolan Street,
Maryborough using cash, cheque or EFTPOS. Cashier hours are 8.45am to 4pm –

SEPTEMBER COUNCIL MEETING
An Ordinary Meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday 25 September at 6pm in the Community Hub, 48 Burns Street, Maryborough.

Any person who may be affected by the granting of the permit may object or make other submissions to the responsible authority. An objection must be sent to the responsible authority in writing, include the reasons for the objection, and state how the objector would be affected. The responsible authority must make a copy of every objection available at its office for any person to inspect during office hours free of charge until the end of the period. During this time, an application may be made for review of a decision on the application. If you object, the responsible authority will inform you of its decision.
The responsible authority will not decide on the application before: 19 October 2018

Central Goldfields Shire’s Youth Engage! Program, Central Goldfields Art Gallery and
Maryborough Regional Library have put together a jam-packed program of events for
the September/October school holidays.
Events run from Tuesday 25 September to Wednesday 3 October and cater for toddlers
to 18 year olds.
MARYBOROUGH REGIONAL LIBRARY
• Wednesday 26 September
- 2 to 3pm – Sand Art session. Maryborough Regional Library
No bookings required.
• Tuesday 2 October – Meet the Animals Experience
- 10.30am – Dunolly Library
- 1pm and 2.30pm (Maryborough Library)

Bet Bet Creek Road: The Central Goldfields Shire works team has commenced a drain replacement project on Bet Bet Creek Road, Bet Bet – 1.2 kilometres south of McKenzie Road.
Bet Bet Creek Road is closed between McKenzies Road and Dunolly-Timor Road and will only be open to local traffic. Works are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.
Park Road: Due to circumstances beyond our control, the proposed kerb renewal works along Park Road, which were scheduled to commence on Monday 17 September, have been delayed.
Nearby residents have been notified via a letterbox drop, with a new timeline for commencement being early to mid-October. We apologise for any inconvenience.
