Neighbourhood Renewal’s work is to narrow the gap between some of the most disadvantaged communities in Victoria and the rest of the State by focusing on:
This six year project in Maryborough is funded by the Department of Health & Human Services until June 30 2015. The current mainstreaming phase of the project is designed to embed Neighbourhood Renewal practices in the workings of local communities, agencies and State and Local Governments to build on the gains made and, to enable residents to continue to participate in planning and decision making relevant to their local area.
During the final phase of the Neighbourhood Renewal project, the community and key stakeholders are working together to establish sustainable governance and an associated community plan that will operate past the formal funding period.
From the numerous community consultations conducted by Maryborough Neighbourhood Renewal over the past months, the community is clearly concerned about the availability of public transport services to and from the town. A working group has been formed in response to these concerns and is keen to find out the extent of the issue. Have your say by completing the survey, using the link below.
