Cr Anna De Villiers is a long-time resident of Majorca and commenced her first term as the Tullaroop Ward Councillor for Central Goldfields Shire Council in 2020. She was re-elected for a second term in 2024.
Cr De Villiers has strongly advocated for protecting our environment and for greater community involvement in decision making. Cr De Villiers identified the need for raising the profile of volunteers and volunteering in the Shire, taking an active leadership role empowering not-for profit and community groups.
An experienced social inclusion specialist, she has worked as a remedial educator with gifted children requiring diverse learning approaches for the last 16 years.
Cr De Villiers aims to ensure the differing needs of rural communities are understood and met, and that barriers to participation and access to council services are overcome. She is committed to being accessible to constituents of the Tullaroop Ward, to listen and act on their behalf to the best of her ability.
Cr Anna De Villiers holds a Bachelor of Education and Library Science with Honours, Certificate of Remedial Teaching and a Post Grad Certificate in E-Learning (University of New England).
