There are only a few days left to apply for our annual Community Grants Program for 2024/25. I am so glad that we can offer this funding as it is wonderful to see the results of past successful applicants.

This next round will see a total of $46,000 being shared among our many community groups. $5,000 of this will also be dedicated to projects that address the impacts of climate change.

The community grants are always oversubscribed with many applications for much needed funds.  This round has seen some changes with funding amounts ranging from $500 to $3,000 for eligible projects.

Funding will also favour those projects that align with Council’s strategic objectives so get creative and innovative. There is a funding guideline document on the website which should be able to answer any questions you may have, and there are also the contact details of relevant to Council staff to help if need be.

We encourage applicants to give the relevant staff member a call to discuss your application prior to submission – contact details are available on our website.

The guide has a handy application checklist, and information on how each application will be assessed.

This will be the last community grants round under the current Council and it always gives me great pleasure to see the different types of projects that our community groups are working on and wish all the greatest of success.
