$46,000 in funding is available as part of the 2024 Central Goldfields Shire Community Grants Program.

Grants from $500 to $3,000 are available to community-based organisations looking for financial support to deliver activities, programs, small events, equipment and infrastructure.

This year the fund again includes $5,000 provided from our Climate Action Plan, for projects that address the impacts of climate change.

Central Goldfields Shire Mayor Councillor Liesbeth Long said the Community Grant Program was a fantastic opportunity for local groups and organisations to seek funding to support community-led projects.

“Community groups and organisations are vital to our community, especially during these challenging economic times. We know how important it is to provide opportunities for them to deliver projects and events that will help uplift our community.”

“If you are looking to host an event, activity, program or purchase equipment that will increase community inclusion and equity, promote being active and healthy, address climate impacts or contribute to the local economy, then we strongly encourage you to apply for a Community Grant.”

Applications are now open and will close at 4pm on Friday, 26 July 2024.

If your group or organisation is interested in applying for a grant, call us first to discuss your idea and check your eligibility before proceeding with your grant application.
