Eighteen local community groups will share in $42,998 in funding with the 2024-2025 Community Grant recipients allocated at the September Council Meeting last night (16/09).

Grants were awarded across four grant categories – Infrastructure, Creativity/Innovation, Community Development and Climate Action.

Central Goldfields Shire Interim CEO Sally Jones congratulated this year’s recipients.

“Local community groups and organisations play a critical role in rural communities such as ours and the Community Grants Program is our opportunity to give back and support those who do so much.

“Whilst our Community Grants might not be large amounts of money, they make a significant difference to these groups, clubs and organisations. Essentially it means they can lead activities, projects and events that might not have been possible without this funding.

“Congratulations to the successful applicants and we look forward to seeing the benefits these projects will bring to our community.”
