October is Victorian Seniors Festival month!

Held annually, the Victorian Seniors Festival celebrates ageing positively and recognises the important contributions people aged 55+ make to our local community.

We're encoraging the older members of our community to get involved in the following local events:

Sunday 6 October, 1 to 3pm: DJAARA Elders Arts and Cultural talks afternoon at Central Goldfields Art Gallery.

Enjoy a cultural afternoon at the Gallery led by DJAARA elders.

Wednesday 30 October from 2pm: Central Goldfields Life and Leisure Expo at Maryborough Regional Library.

Explore diverse community stalls, enjoy engaging talks and connect with local groups for a great day out.

Our Visitor Centre team are also hosting a series of day trips – where seniors can take the trip from Melbourne on the train, explore our attractions and lunch before catching the return train to Melbourne.

Senior Card holders can enjoy eight days of free public transport from 6 to 13 October 2024.
