Our Food System
We are creating a Roadmap for a healthy food system, and we want to hear from you.
The success of the local food system has a direct impact on our health and wellbeing, the growth of our children, the environment, and the local economy.

Memorials
We are currently inviting feedback on our Draft Memorials Policy.
We recognise that members of the community may wish to use a public space to commemorate a loved one through the planting of a memorial tree, erection of a monument, memorials and plaques or the naming of public spaces.
The Draft Memorials Policy is important because it ensures requests are assessed in a consistent and accountable way.
You can read the Draft Policy and provide feedback until 2pm, Monday 27 May.

INDOOR POOL
We are all looking forward to the re-opening of the pool at the Maryborough Sports and Leisure Centre.
The project to re-tile the 25-metre pool is almost finished, and we are doing everything we can to ensure it can re-open as soon as possible.
At this stage the pool will re-open mid-June. The exact date will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed.
We appreciate your patience.
This project was made possible with funding through the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.

DELEDIO COURTS OPENING
Join us for the official opening celebration of the new courts at Deledio Recreation Reserve tomorrow, Saturday 25 May at 2.15pm.
With the previous courts at the end of their life and deemed unplayable, the new dedicated netball court and multi-use tennis and netball court can be enjoyed for generations to come.
This is an opportunity for the Dunolly community to come together to celebrate their new facilities.
The project was jointly funded by the Victorian Government and Council, in partnership with the Dunolly Football Netball Club and the Deledio Recreation Reserve Committee of Management.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are the lifeblood of communities across Australia – including ours!
The reality is that volunteering is changing, and we know that many volunteers, community groups and organisations locally are doing it tough.
To help support you better, and to try and tackle these challenges together, we have partnered with the Maryborough Volunteer Resource Centre, to bring you three opportunities.

That’s why a series of grant writing workshops was designed to help give you the skills and info you need to write successful applications. The workshops were led by the Maryborough Volunteer Resource Centre with support from Council.
We encourage you to join us at the Maryborough Community Hub for ‘Pitch Night and Putting Your Grant Application Together’ on Monday 17 June, 6.30pm
