Residents of Central Goldfields Shire and the neighbouring town of Avoca are encouraged to contribute. There’s also a special category for young people.
This year’s exhibition is expanded to include a special 9” x 5” category. Entrants can collect a board from the Gallery for a small fee, to use creating an artwork on a small and achievable scale. Entries go on public display 28 November.
For further information phone 5461 6600 or email: cgsc.art@cgoldshire.vic.gov.au
YOU BE THE JUDGE
Can you spare a day, or even a few hours between Tuesday, 19 November and Sunday, 24 November?
Energy Breakthrough depends on its judges to determine the level of student involvement in the technical and practical design and build of their entry vehicles. This varies widely depending on the age of students in each team.
Volunteering at Energy Breakthrough is a fantastic way of making a valuable contribution and real difference in our community. The volunteer team is proudly supported by Community Bank Avoca Maryborough and St Arnaud.

FLUSHING THE PROBLEM
Council is trialling a new initiative to speed up the maintenance and cleaning of toilet facilities across our Shire.
The Facilities Maintenance team have installed QR codes at public amenity buildings in the Woolworths carpark and the Coronation (Lions) Park so that if you see something wrong, you can scan the code and instantly fill in a form online.
By cutting out the ‘middleman’ it speeds up alerts to the team, enabling them to schedule a visit quickly. Codes will soon be installed at Clarendon Street and the Adventure Playground sites.
We’ll let you know how the trial goes - but if it’s all too ‘high-tech’, you can still visit our “Report-A-Problem” web page and file a report. You can also phone 0419 005 577 if the matter is urgent.
